Prana Investments, with more than 30 years of experience, invests in rent-regulated housing in New York City and Los Angeles, pursuing a “value-add” strategy that delivers quality affordable housing for our tenants and solid returns for our investors. Our extensive knowledge of housing in New York City and Los Angeles is based on decades of owning and managing more than 650 properties and our current portfolio of more than 125 properties.

Our Strategy

We specialize in properties that are under performing, typically due to deferred maintenance and inefficient management. By addressing these issues, we improve tenants’ housing, stabilize the properties, and increase property values.

An Experienced Team

We have more than 30 years of experience and our core team has been together for more than 20 years. We employ people who grew up and live in the neighborhoods where we purchase properties. We work hard to improve our properties for a mutually beneficial relationship with our tenants.

Leveraging Our Investment Experience

We seek to achieve a return for investors by stabilizing and revitalizing existing properties through professional management and prudent, cost-effective improvements, without fundamentally changing the property’s character or the nature of their tenancy. We do not engage in development, redevelopment, or large-scale renovation of our properties. Our strategy of acquiring occupied properties that do not require significant redevelopment or change in tenancy reduces the risks for our investors and allows for solid returns.
